“Kodachrome is a type of slide film, made by Kodak in various forms since 1935. It was developed in America, so that American men could photograph their wives dressed in polka dot skirts standing in front of the family Cadillac in the endless sunshine days of America. It was devised so that Americans could photograph their loved ones on holiday in Venice. It was not intended for the overcast English summer. Kodak continued to tweak the film up until the mid 1970s, at which point development slowed to a crawl, and the film crossed the line that separates the living from the dead.” —Women and Dreams: Last Summer of Kodachrome: I: Her eyes are weapons, they pierce

“This is the shit I have to put up with every goddamn day here at Canon. No wonder most of the cool photographers choose Nikon. I have really given up all hope that those conservative bastards at Canon Inc. and our upper management are going to realize we’re currently living in the 21st century, a time of the Internets and social media.” —On Canon Taking Down Nocturne « Fake Chuck Westfall

“Action movies are notorious for being based on what I call the Stupidity Premise. In order to accept the movie and enjoy the story, you have to be willing to believe that some or all of the characters are complete idiots. Con Air relies so heavily on the Stupidity Premise that it’s tough to swallow anything that happens.” —Con Air (In the Dark review)
