Microsoft is going to kill SSAS or at least reduces it to a Zombie product lingering in the shadows of BISM and PowerPivot, the new shiny gadgets everyone is working on at MS. There is a time horizon of at least a year where businesses will hesitate to start projects based on Microsoft BI as there is not enough enterprise functionality in the new technology yet, but the old stuff is discontinued. Bugger for those who consult in this technology or have software build upon it.
